Internet Marketing: Affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing is the simplest form of internet marketing among the 3 type of IM that i mentioned earlier. This is because all you need is a website, affiliates URL, autoresponder and lastly traffic (people visiting your site). It may sound simple however when it come to practice, it might not be as easy as thought. lets begin with the first part,

• Obtaining a website. To create your own website is relatively simple nowadays. You can go to major search engine such as yahoo, google and type webhosting or else buy a domain from yahoo. Remember to create a domain name that is simple and easy to remember!
• Go to www.clickbank.com to sign up a clickbank account or www.commissionjunction.com to create an account. These are the websites where you can create your affiliate link as well as find the products that you want to promote!
• Get an autoresponder to keep track and collect traffic. Aweber and getresponse are some of the good choices normally affiliate marketers use.
• Lastly is to drive traffic into your website (the hardest part i believe). Driving traffic can be done by participating in some popular forum, http://www.forumfind.com/ or elso you can use yahoo answer to collect traffic. As this are the website where people need solution and you have to provide solution by referred them to you sites. (must be related of course!)

So you may ask, how should i start to promote the products? One of the way is through blogging as you might heard before how people earn money by blogging, this is normally how they done it! But remember in Affiliate marketing, Quantity>Quality. Although quality is important, but if there are no traffic nor wide range of products, all the effort will be futile. Or else you can also get a copy of Super Affiliate Handbook by Rosalind Gardner, One of the most successful affiliate marketer around. This book has been recommended to me by few affiliate pros such as Dylan Loh. I personally find this book Wise, practical, and easy to understand.
