Job Interview

Hi everyone,
Today i decided to blog something special instead of the usual online earning money stuffs. I believe this will be more relavant to all of us, at least for fresh graduate like me! Anyway let's talk about my job interview experiences. Being a recent graduate, i decided to work first before i continue my University studies at the same time accumulate some wealth. Btw if i never mention before, i am a graduate from Singapore Polytechnic major in Chemical engineering. So i sent in alot of resumes to many large companies such as exxonmobil, mitsui, schering plough, soxal, Singapore Polymer. My first interview was at exxonmobil and followed by mitsui then SP. I can still remember the tense and nervousness on the first day as i have never been to interview at all in my entire life! So how did i manage to survive? I went to Youtube to search for interview tips and they all taught me different thing! I thought I going to doom this time. Anyway i followed their advises and began to prepare for whatever kind of questions they might asked like "Why you choose our company? Let me know more about yourself? why should i hire you?" These kind of questions. Thinking that I'm fully prepared to go into the battlefield, to my horror all the questions i prepared did not come out in my interviews with exxon! Instead they asked me all the technical stuffs that i learnt in school and i almost dumbfolded! So after the first interview i knew at least what are their expectation and more confident to go for my other interviews! So who am i to teach you tips for interview when I almost screw up my first interview? OF COURSE I am not some pros from some head hunter companies that teach graduates how to respond to questions, but i have real life experience and I manage to secure offers from ALL the companies that i went for interviews! U ain't read wrongly, ALL the companies! So below are some TIPS that i personally used during my interviews, follow them i can guaranteed at least 85% success rate!
TIPS #1: Prepared whatever documents you need the night before
TIPS #2: Know What you have learn in school properly, don't throw them away
TIPS #3: Always remember, Interviews are like WAR, a WAR for your survival in this world
TIPS #4: Have a early sleep day before interview and set your ALARM to wake up early!
TIPS #5: Check your grooming, wear your MOST formal attire
TIPS #6: Always arrive early (15 mins) before the actual time
TIPS #7: Smile and Maintain eyes contact with your interviewer and don't forget firm a handshake!
TIPS #8: Greet them and introduce yourself, do NOT wait for them to ask you
TIPS #9: Calm and always maintain eyes contact, smile very important , answer qs correctly
TIPS #10: If you can't answer just admit, don't BULLSH*T!! coz they know what they are asking, Lying is equal to dig your own grave!
TISP #11: Always be optimistic and confident when answering questions
TIPS #12: After interview, thanks them for the time and give another firm handshake and excuse yourself! You can always ask them when you will know your result.

So those are basically what i did and found out during my interviews and hope these will help those that currently looking for job. EYE CONTACT?? very difficult right? this is another tip from my english teacher during my oral examination. if you are scared to look at them in the eyes, just look at their foreheads or somewhere between their eyes, they wont notice! So in the end i took up offer from Mitsui chemical, and will be starting my work next week. So wish me luck in my career! =)
